Claudia Suarez Wright, the ex-wife of Green Day drummer Frank Edwin Wright III (aka Tre Cool) confirmed Armstrong entered rehab Tuesday.
"He's doing OK. He's with his family," Wright told Celebuzz."He's in rehab and his family is by his side."
Wright, whose son is Billie Joe's godchild, revealed details that ledto the difficult decision to get help.
"When he was in Vegas he was drinking a lot. The night of the show he had been drinking," saidClaudia, adding that her ex-husband texted her

yesterday about the band's ultimate conclusion.
"In Las Vegas there's a lot of temptation to drink and it's tough to be around when you're fighting against it," she said."They have a new album coming out and it's a demanding lifestyle. It's very difficult."
According to Wright, Armstrong had been sober for more than a year.
"He's my son's godfather so it's very hard for kids to see this happen. And it must be very difficult for his wife and family,"she said.
She confirmed his rehab stint hasnothing to do with the incident in Italy earlier this month when Armstrong was admitted to the hospital and forced to cancel a performance.
"He was actually sick in Italy and it was not from drinking," Wrightsaid, which

was earlier confirmed to Celebuzz by Billie Joe's mother Ollie Armstrong, who said "he picked up a bug or it was food poisoning".
The news of him getting treatment for substance abuse apparently came as a shock to Armstrong's family.
"He was fine yesterday (on Saturday)," his aunt Judith Armstrong told Celebuzz. "We were on an airplane together andhe was fine."
This unfolded after the 40-year-old rocker went off on a bizarre rant Friday during the band's performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas.
When the band was given a one-minute warning to wrap their set, Armstrong lost it and screamed, "You're (expletive) kidding me. What the (expletive) I'm not (expletive) Justin Bieber, you mother (expletives). I got one minute, one minute left."
The band issued a statement on their official Facebook page on Sunday: "Billie Joe is seeking treatment for substance abuse. We would like everyone to knowthat our set was not cut short byClear Channel and to apologize to those we offended at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas. We regretfully must postpone some of our upcoming promotional appearances."
The band's scheduled Friday night show at the Fillmore in San Francisco has been canceled. No makeup date has been announced"

I read this on facebook. It made me feel so amazing!♥ And then, my mom told me, that my iUno!-Shirt, iUno! and that book 'The Catcher in the Rye' arrived at my uncle's home :o I was so excited and wanted to go there, so I ran down the stairs and fell down. Hurt a bit. My Mom ws like: "OH MY GOD! ARE YOU OKAY?" And I shouted: "EV'RYTHING'S FINE MOM! IT SOUNDS WORSE THAN IT WAS!!" And ran to my bike. And I got my stuff from my uncle and went back home.

I put iUno! in the cd-player and turned that thing up as loud as it got. I changed my shirts and then I rocked out xD it was a great feeling ♥

I just watched Green Day's performance at iHeartRadio. And it made me angry. That crowd was so awful. I can understand why Billie said what he said.
If you have seen the videos, have you seen that stupid girl in the third part who covered

her ears?! She didn't get her fucking lazy hands in the air!
Or have you seen the other stupid girl in the second part, at the end of Longview? Billie told her to come up on stage to dance with him. And she DIDN'T WANT. I was like "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU STUPID OR BLIND OR WHAT?!"
Or during Longview too, the crowd. Billie told them to sing, but they didn't! Just.... ô.O
Those people make me freak out!! They just don't deserve to see that awesome band live! There are so many fans here who will never see them live, and those ignorant persons there saw them and didn't go crazy!
It makes me feel bad. Because I'm not sure, if I'd ever go to a concert. I want so bad. And now I see those people there and.. GRAHR! D: I want to scream!

Getting thinkfull..

I just had a discussion with a friend. We're both 14. And we both want to win that signed Gibson Billie Joe Armstrong Les Paul Junior Doublecut guitar. But. We can't, 'cause we're not 18. And that annoys the hell outta me. -.-' I mean, we are old enough to decide what we wanna buy. And we wouldn't buy that guitar. We'd win it. But the world's filled with shit -.- Just think about 9/11. I know, it was really really bad that so many people died. Really. But everyone's crying and close their eyes for the rest of the world and their problems. 3000 persons died on 9/11. 2,5 mio died in wars wich were caused by 9/11. 91,5 mio persons died of starvation since 9/11. And people all around the world close their eyes. It makes me feel bad. What happened to us? Why can't we think of people who are poorer than we and help them? What happens to our donations? Where do they go? To the country. Better: To the government of the country. And the people? What do they get? Mostly nothing.
